A deadly shooting in Chicago has left one man dead and three women injured following an afternoon incident in the Little Village neighborhood.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred on April 22, 2026, at approximately 4:34 p.m. in the 3400 block of West 26th Street. A 46-year-old male and three female victims were standing near a sidewalk when an unknown offender opened fire, striking all four individuals.
The 46-year-old man sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators from Area Four Detectives are actively working the case, and no suspects are currently in custody. The circumstances surrounding the shooting, including a possible motive, remain under investigation.
