A 76-year-old man who went on a solo camping trip in northern Arizona was found alive three days later after an extensive search effort, authorities said.
He had last been seen after heading out alone for the trip, but when he failed to return, family members reported him missing. His vehicle was later located in a remote area, prompting a search operation in rugged terrain.
After three days, the man was discovered by his son roughly six miles from where the vehicle had been left. Officials have not yet released full details on his condition at the time he was found, but the recovery brought relief to his family and search teams involved in the effort.
